About Iqraa Academy

Iqraa Academy is a faith-centred learning community committed to nurturing students academically, spiritually and personally. Established on 31 January 2025, the Academy supports students from Kindergarten to Year 12 and works in partnership with families to provide a balanced and meaningful educational experience.

Guided by Islamic values, Iqraa Academy places strong emphasis on character, respect, and responsibility. Our approach encourages students to develop a love of learning while building confidence, self-discipline, and a sense of purpose.

Where Learning Begins with “Iqraa”

The name Iqraa Academy was chosen by the Principal to reflect the central importance of knowledge and learning in Islam. The word Iqraa, meaning Read, was the first command revealed to Prophet Muhammad.

“Read in the name of your Lord who created.”
(Surah Al-‘Alaq 96:1)

This command reminds us that learning is not limited to reading words, but involves opening our hearts and minds to seek truth and understanding through faith and knowledge.

The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) taught that seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim. This principle lies at the heart of Iqraa Academy and shapes its educational philosophy.

The name Iqraa Academy reflects the belief that every journey of learning should begin with the name of Allah and be guided by purpose, integrity, and sincerity.
